WPL 2024 MATCH Schedule
Jay Shah, the executive director of the BCCI, has stated that the Women’s Premier League (WPL) will maintain the First season’s format, with each match taking place in a single state. The league is expected to begin play in February 2024 around the second or third week of the month.
Each team will play two games against each other in the premier league stage of the WPL 2024, which will be contested in an elimination style. Thus, WPIL 2024 will find the match to be highly interesting . The state champion advances to the league stage and earns a straight ticket to the championship game following the conclusion of the league.
Additionally, there will be a knockout or play-off round following the finals, where the second and third rounds of competition will be held. As previously reported, the BCCI formally declared that the five teams that competed in the first season of the WPL will be included in the WPL in 2024. There will be 20 league games and 2 knockout matches among the total of 22 matches that will be played in the event.
WPL 2024 Venues
Though Shah stated that a decision will be made after consulting the franchisees, Maharashtra is still the front-runner to host the games, with three possible Venues in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and one in Pune. Basically, the franchise and the BCCI are making this call together.
Venues for WPL 2024 will be available upon the formal announcement of the program.
