ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro Display
It’s a 6.78” Full HD Plus display. We think it should’ve been a 2K display, but it’s a Full HD Plus display. But since it’s an LTPU, you get a dynamic refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120 Hz. But the display supports a fast refresh rate of up to 165 Hz while gaming. So that’s great! It has a 2500 NITS peak brightness. But if you use it in sunlight, it has a 1600NITS maximum brightness. It supports HDR10+, but it does not support watching HDR on Netflix. It has flat sides and very thin bezels. There’s a 94% screen-to-body ratio. It has a fine-print scanner on display.
ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro Design
Look at the back as well. And you can see the matrix here. There’s a USB Type C port on the side. Then there’s a SIM card tray, a speaker grill, and a 3.5mm jack. On the right, there are trigger buttons on both sides. They’re still there. There’s another microphone, an on-off button, and a volume rocker. There’s no noise cancellation on the sides. And on the left, there’s another USB Type C port. And the main USB Type C port is USB 3.2 Gen 1. We’ve always tested it. There are two ports. Will it self-charge? We’ll look at it from both sides. The weight of the phone is around 225g, and the thickness is 8.9, which is quite heavy.
ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro Camera
The camera, when it comes to hardware, has definitely been upgraded. There’s a 50 MP Sony’s IMX890 sensor, a 13 MP ultra wide lens, and a 32 MP telephoto lens that gives you a 3X zoom. There’s a 32MP selfie camera. In videography, it does 8K; you can shoot at 4K 60FPS with all the sensors. But in terms of quality, if you want a camera phone, this one is not for you.
ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro Processor
For performance, the ASUS ROG phone 8 Pro has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 based on a 4nm chipset, a CPU of octa core 3.3 GHz, and a GPU of androno 750. The antutu score is around 23 lakh, the highest antutu score ever. For RAM, it has LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 storage types.
ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro Battery
The battery has been reduced, and that’s one of the reasons. But still, the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro has a 5500mAh battery. It used to be 6000 mAh, but it’s now 5500 mAh. It has 65W charging and 15W wireless charging support.
ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro OS and Security Update
The ASUS ROG phone 8 Pro comes with Android 14 and ROG UI. ASUS says it’s a 2-year major update and a 4-year security update. According to sources, it should’ve been at least 3–4 years.
ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro Price
The price of the ASUS ROG 8 Pro is Rs. 94,999 for 16GB + 512GB, and the ROG 8 Pro’s higher variant is 24GB + 1TB at a price of Rs. 1,19,999. It will be sold via ASUS and Vijaysale in India very soon.
