Hero Xtreme 125R Features and Price in India: Hero has launched their new bike Hero Xtreme 125R in India in January 2024; it will be available from February 20 for deliveries. The price starts at Rs. 95,000. There are two variants: one is the Hero Xtreme 125R IBS at Rs. 96,000, and the other is the Hero Xtreme 125R Single Channel ABS at Rs. 1,02,000. There are three colours available: Stallion Black, Cobalt Blue, and Firestorm Red.
Let’s talk about the features of this bike. The main highlight of this motorcycle is its mileage. The company claims the mileage of this bike will be 66 km/h. Its engine is a 125CC, which generates 11.4 bph max power at 8250 RPM and 10.5 NM torque at 6000 RPM. It has five manual gearboxes and a 10L fuel tank. The bike weighs around 135 kg. It has single-channel ABS, and IBS is also called Drum for Brakes. Look wise; it has quite a unique design.
Hero Xtreme 125R Design
Design-wise, it feels like the bike is a bit fast, i.e., sharp angles and sharp edges, which we usually see on sporty bikes. These extensions that you are seeing are different. The tank is looking more sleek. Such an aerodynamic, proper design has been given to you. In fact, there is a full LED headlamp, LED blinkers, and LED tail lamp; everything has been given to you. It has a monoshock; by the way, are you seeing the suspension? Monoshock suspension has been given to it, which is not even in their flagship Maverick. It has dual shock absorbers. We get a 37-mm-diameter front suspension, which is the widest in terms of diameter in its segment.
It has a 2.6-foot (794-mm) seat. The seats have been designed as split seats. One is for the pillion, which will sit on the first floor of such motorcycles. And for the rider, you are getting just a wide seat. And you get the widest tire in the segment with this bike.
Hero Xtreme 125R Engine
The Hero Xtreme 125R has a 125CC engine that says it generates 11.4 bhp at 8250 RPMI. In the presentation, it was 11.5 PS; if it is 11.5 PS, that means it will be around 11 bhp. But 10.7 bhp is written on the board; I will mention the exact figure here. If there is no confusion, then you will also have it like me. The torque is 10.6 Nm at 6000 RPM. Response-wise, it does 0–60 kmph in 5.9 seconds, which makes it one of the fastest. They’ve given it a balancer shaft with a silent cam chain, which will try to improve the overall refinement. But what are the power output figures?
Hero Xtreme 125 Brake and Suspension
Hero Xtreme 125 gets the widest tire in the segment with this bike; it is in the 120/80 section. Of course, it is 17 inches, but it is quite wide. So, they have tried to give it a sporty look. You have got drum brakes at the rear, not disc brakes, because it is a 125-cc motorcycle. So, single-channel ABS has been given. The front tire is, of course, a little smaller. It’s a 90/90 section, although it is 17 inches.
Disc brakes have also been given at the front, which is quite big. I think the disc brake is 260mm. Also, you can see alloy wheels. You get tubeless tires; this is a top-end variant. Now, in the standard variant, you will not get ABS. And for motorcycles up to 125 cc, you’ve got the option that you will get combination braking, i.e., if you press one brake, then both will be pressed. You will get that braking, but the good thing is that in the top variant, you get single-channel ABS. Giving a single-channel ABS is also a positive aspect of the segment, considering the pricing.
