Ferrari Daytona SP3 specifications and interior: The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is a limited-production mid-engine sports car built by Italian automaker company Ferrari and owned by Piero Ferrari, the son of founding owner Enzo Ferrari. The Ferrari Daytona SP3 was introduced on November 20, 2021, for the 2024 model year. The Daytona SP3 is the newest in Ferrari’s “Icona” collections of high-performance automobiles, after the Ferrari Monza SP series.

A total of 599 prototypes will be manufactured starting in the last quarter of 2022 and sold for a whopping $2.25 million each. The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is powered by a purely turbocharged 6.5-liter V12 shared with the 812 Superfast, marking Ferrari’s first return to automatically inhaled, mid-mounted engines for limited edition cars without hybrid electric systems since the Ferrari Enzo was introduced in 2002.

Engine and Transmission

The Daytona SP3 has a naturally powered 6.5-liter Ferrari F140 HC V12 engine that can go up to 9500 rpm. It produces 840 PS (618 kW; 829 horsepower) at 9250 rpm along with 697 N⋅m (514 lb⋅ft) of torque at 7250 rpm.

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is the first Ferrari with a mid-mounted 12-cylinder engine that lacks electric hybrid assistance systems since the Ferrari Enzo in 2002. The engine comes with a quick-shifting version of the 812 Competizione’s 7-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission. Daytona SP3 has also installed the transmission with an e-diff. For the drivers, the e-diff improves driving balance and grip, which dramatically improves acceleration and roadholding at the limit and provides even superior steering feel.

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 also offers a variety of technologies, like (SSC) Slip Side Control 6.1 with its own Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer (FDE), to allow the car to put the power down effectively. Gear shifting takes less than 0.2 seconds—that’s 200 milliseconds.

This also indicates the end of the usage of the mid-ship V12 engine in Ferrari road vehicles as the company shifts away from traditional V12s and moving towards lower-cylinder variations such as turbocharged V8s with hybrid electric systems similar to the SF90 Stradale, which is currently in production.

Daytona SP3 Performance

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is driven by a powerful V12 engine that produces amazing performance, with a top speed likely surpassing 200mph and acceleration 0 to 100 kmph (62 mph) in just 2.85 seconds, 200 kmph (124 mph) in 7.4 seconds, and a top speed of more than 340 kmph (211 mph). Its accurate handling and aerodynamic design provide an outstanding driving experience. Honoring Ferrari’s tradition of speed and grace.

Wheels and brakes

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 has collaborated with one of the best tire manufacturers, Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, on unique Ferrari wheels, with front wheels of 265/30 ZR 20 J9.0 and rear wheels of 345/30 ZR 21 J12.5. It comes with superior Brembo brakes, as the Brembo brake system performs better in every condition with a shorter braking distance. It was also better at dealing with the high pressures of the test, and the decrease in performance caused by the increase in temperature was significantly less than the standard brakes.

The Brembo brakes are 398 x 223 x 36 mm on the front wheels and 380 x 253 x 34 mm on the rear wheels.

Daytona SP3 Exterior

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is breathtakingly gorgeous. Its exterior design is a series of sweeping curves and angles, each carefully and expertly calculated for aerodynamic efficiency. The butterfly-style doors were inspired by the well-known 1967 Ferrari 330 P4, which swings easily into the roof, resulting in a clean, curved shoulder line. These doors also have combined air intakes, which supply them to the massive V12 engine and contribute to the car’s downforce.

Dashboard :

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 features an all-new streamlined aerodynamics cabin with a carbon-fiber dashboard with an Alcantra finish on top and an LED touchscreen display system for tracking and monitoring.

The touch controls allow drivers to handle 80% of the Ferrari Daytona SP3’s operations without moving their hands, and a 16-inch curved HD screen displays all driving-related information instantly. The flat-bottomed steering wheel made of carbon fiber can be vertically adjustable to provide more seating space for taller drivers. The center console design was inspired by the gated manual gearbox transmission style of old Ferraris and has performance control switch pairs.

Seats:

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 has new model seats and an aerodynamic wrapping shape. The seats provide a tight fit for the driver and passenger, allowing pleasant and comfortable seating. The seat is designed in two parts, with the main seat cushion and head-backrest separated. Because the seats are not adjustable, like the Enzo and LaFerrari, the pedal box may be moved either forward or back to improve the driver’s leg room.
